Objective:

The objective of this training is to review the content of the Classic Pilates method under a modern approach in the way of teaching and understanding the Pilates method based on the story of how Joseph Pilates developed what he called Contrology.

Trainers

Thais Caniceiro

With a degree in Physical Education, she completed her first certification in the Classic Pilates Method in 2003 with Romana Krizanowska, Shari Mejia and Inelia Garcia.
In 2007 he moved to Portugal and completed his second certification with Tom Voogt and Michael Fritzke, and his first training for Yoga instructors with Centro Portugues de Yoga (CPY).
After 10 years of experience as a Pilates instructor in several gyms and for the Four Seasons hotel chain, she opened her first Classic Pilates studio in Lisbon in 2013, also developing several courses and workshops for new instructors.


He created the online class platform beHaus Community, where he brought a combination of all the practices that he believes are fundamental for a healthy lifestyle, such as Mat Pilates classes, Yoga, Meditation, concepts of Ayurvedic medicine, and articles on self-care, which in 2021 gave rise to his latest project beHaus Lisbon.

Benjamin Degenhardt

Benjamin Degenhardt has been involved in the world of Pilates for over 20 years. He began his studies in 1998 and completed classical and contemporary training programs. Benjamin is a renowned educator and has presented his work at training facilities and conferences around the world. He refined his perspective on Pilates by synthesizing historical research on Joseph Pilates’ thought process with a modern understanding of movement, health, and fitness training.
 
Benjamin is the founder of 360° Pilates, an online learning platform dedicated to the original Pilates method, and the creator of March MATness, an annual and global social media campaign that celebrates the original Mat work. Additionally, he appears on Pilates Anytime, has been featured in Pilates Style Magazine and the documentary “Tribute to Joseph Pilates”, and is the creator of the “Decoding Pilates Workshop”. He is currently based in Lisbon, Portugal, and serves on the Board of Directors for the National Pilates Certification Program.
